Multiple injuries reported after limo bus overturns on I-75 in Monroe County

Officials said injured parties were transported to Toledo Hospital and Monroe Hospital for treatment

MONROE COUNTY, Mich. – Multiple injuries were reported after a limo bus overturned on I-75 in Monroe County.

The crash occurred on Thursday (Oct. 30) in the southbound lanes of I-75 at mile marker 20, which has reopened after a brief closure for an investigation.

Troopers from the Monroe Post responded to the crash involving a limo-type bus.

The incident initially was reported at mile marker 116, but it was later corrected to mile marker 16.

Michigan State Police said the limo bus overturned, causing multiple injuries.

Officials said injured parties were transported to Toledo Hospital and Monroe Hospital for treatment.

Southbound I-75 was closed at mile marker 16, with motorists being directed off the expressway at exit 20.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes during the closure.

Officials apologized for initial confusion regarding the crash location and exit numbers.
