Superintendent Jasen Witt was placed on non-disciplinary administrative leave on Nov. 6. The reason is not yet clear.

In a letter sent to media outlets, the Redford Union Schools Board of Education said it engaged with the Miller Johnson law firm to “conduct an independent investigation into the managerial practices of the Superintendent and related policy compliance.”

Judy Nachman, the Executive Director of Human Resources for Redford Union Schools, will serve as the interim superintendent, according to the board.
