ROMULUS, Mich. – Shelby Township police arrested a suspect in connection with a double homicide that occurred on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, after executing a search warrant at a hotel near Detroit Metro Airport.

Multiple law enforcement agencies carried out the search warrant in Romulus around 5:45 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8.
The suspect was taken into custody, and police say they recovered evidence connected to the case from the hotel room.
The double homicide investigation began when a customer discovered two men dead inside Star Auto Sales, a car dealership near Auburn and Ryan roads in Shelby Township.
Police found a 48-year-old Clinton Township man and a 40-year-old Shelby Township man who had died from gunshot wounds.
Police say the suspect’s name will be released following the arraignment.
