The 30-year-old maintenance worker was found dead at a U.S. Postal Service facility in Allen Park on Nov. 8. Officials said his fiancé called the facility after realizing he hadn’t returned home after his shift.
According to the Allen Park Fire Department, the man was stuck in the mail handling machine and was dead for six to eight hours before they responded to the scene.
The Allen Park facility is a network distribution center, a large mail processing facility with many large machines.
An investigation is underway to figure out how exactly the man was killed.
The man’s fiancé told Local 4 that she didn’t call. She said she stood outside the facility for three hours before she got any help.
