An Inkster man is facing felony charges for allegedly using counterfeit $100 bills to pay for pizzas at restaurants in Milford and Highland Township. (WDIV)

INKSTER, Mich. – An Inkster man is facing felony charges for allegedly using counterfeit $100 bills to pay for pizzas at restaurants in Milford and Highland Township.

Javon Lavell Smith, 21, was arrested at his home in Inkster earlier this week by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Team.

He is charged with uttering and publishing counterfeit bills or notes.

According to investigators, Smith ordered pizzas on Oct. 7 from restaurants in Milford and Highland Township.

He paid with fake $100 bills and received change, but never returned to pick up the orders.

Smith was arraigned Tuesday, Nov. 11, in Novi and released on a personal bond.

He has a probable cause conference scheduled for Nov. 19.
