DETROIT – A man suspected in 10 shootings in the last 10 days is in critical condition following a chase, crash and shooting in Detroit.
It happened just before 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14.
According to authorities, police and ATF were surveilling the man, who fled when he realized he was being watched. Police said he carjacked someone near Livernois and Fullerton Avenue and took off.
ATF agents reportedly fired shots at him as he fled.
Michigan State Police performed a PIT maneuver on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, causing the stolen vehicle to crash in a field.
Police said the suspect exited the car with a gun and ran down the sidewalk before turning a corner and encountering two police officers, who shot him.
The suspect was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
