Father of missing Skelton boys charged with murder, evidence tampering

Nearly 15 years after Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton went missing, their father has been charged with murder.

The charges come roughly two weeks before John Skelton was scheduled to be released.

To this day, the Skelton brothers have never been found, and their whereabouts remain unknown.

A judge declared the boys dead in March of this year, but stated there wasn’t enough evidence to prove they were murdered at the time.

Crews to close ramps on WB I-696 before major traffic shift -- what drivers need to know

Crews will soon be shifting traffic from westbound I-696 to the newly rebuilt eastbound side of I-696 as construction continues.

The Michigan Department of Transportation posted ramp closures for this weekend as part of the next phase of the 2-year construction project to begin the full transition to the other side of the freeway.

Depending on when work is done, westbound I-696 traffic will be shifted to the newly built eastbound side either Sunday night or Monday morning. In the meantime, ramp closures are expected to begin Friday night and will remain closed through the weekend.

Missing Oakland County teen found in 51-year-old man’s Newaygo County home

A missing teen from Oakland County was found in Newaygo County, and a 51-year-old man is facing charges in connection with her disappearance.

The Rochester Hills teen was reported missing on Nov. 10, after she failed to return him from school.

Authorities received information that indicated the teen might be in the Newaygo County area, and deputies spotted the suspect vehicle connected to the case.

Detroit man sentenced for attempting to give money to ISIS twice

A Michigan man will spend years in federal prison after reportedly attempting to provide money to ISIS twice.

According to authorities, Jibreel Pratt initiated a conversation in February 2023 with an informant he believed was a member of ISIS who could help him travel overseas to join ISIS.

Over several months, Pratt pledged allegiance to ISIS and shared ideas on how the group could use drones and remote-controlled cars to deliver explosives, organize intelligence operations and improve air defense systems.

Weather: Warmer end to the week for Metro Detroit with a windy weekend ahead

Cloud cover overnight has kept temperatures a little milder this morning and as clouds thin out through the morning we will end up with plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid-50s this afternoon.

Lows tonight drop back into the 30s as clouds build back in ahead of our next weather-maker.
