Firefighters freed the man, who was unconscious but had a faint pulse.

He was taken to the hospital, but his condition is currently unknown.

Police noted the crash may have occurred hours earlier, as the car was only visible once the sun rose.

According to a preliminary investigation, the driver missed the ramp to I-94, drove up a grassy embankment, hit a tree, and rolled over.

Police said it did not appear the driver attempted to brake before the crash.

It remains unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the driver missing the ramp.

An investigation is ongoing.
