Multiple people seriously hurt in 3-car Canton Township crash

Crash happened at Sheldon and Sheldon Center

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Multiple people were seriously injured in a three-car crash in Canton Township on Monday, police said.

The crash happened at Sheldon and Sheldon Center just before 1 p.m. on Nov. 24, 2025.

Police said a 72-year-old Ann Arbor man was traveling west on Sheldon, approaching Sheldon Center, in a white Dodge Caravan, when he left the roadway.

The vehicle traveled through the intersection and struck a white Ford C-Max, which was being driven by a 46-year-old Westland woman. She was in the left turn lane to get onto Sheldon when her car was hit.

After that, the Caravan hit a white Chevrolet Express G3500 that was being driven by a 45-year-old Plymouth man. This car was “stopped in the right through lane” on southbound Sheldon Center when it was hit, according to police.

All of the occupants in the C-Max and Caravan were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The Canton Township Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, according to police.
