WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – A person had died in a shooting involving police in Trenton early Wednesday morning.
Police said the shooting happened at 3374 Van Horn just before 3 a.m. on Nov. 26. The Trenton Police Department requested Michigan State Police to investigate the shooting since it involved an officer.
According to the Trenton Police Chief Mike Hawkins, they were told that a suspect involved in a shooting in Inkster was spotted in the area of Van Horn. When officers approached the suspect’s car, they were allegedly armed, leading to the shooting involving the police.
Police said a 37-year-old has died, and no officers were injured.
