37-year-old killed during exchange of gunfire with police in Trenton (WDIV)
WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – The man who was killed during an exchange of gunfire with police early Wednesday morning was accused of shooting and injuring a security officer at a strip club in Inkster.
In the early hours of Nov. 26, Inkster police said the man was asked to leave Bogarts Lounge off Michigan Avenue. He allegedly later returned and argued with the security officer before shooting the security officer and driving away.
The security officer was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition.
Inkster police officers then issued a “Be On the Lookout” alert for the suspect’s car.
A short time later, Trenton police spotted the suspect’s car. While officers encountered the man, he allegedly pulled out a gun. In response, officers fired at the man, killing him.
