Delta Air Lines departures to and from DTW were grounded for hours as the computer outage caused long lines and stopped check-ins for passengers. The ground stop includes Delta subs.

Local 4 started receiving calls about the problem around 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2025. At around 9 a.m. Friday, the ground stop was changed to a “ground delay,” according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
