What is a winter weather advisory?

Metro Detroit Snow Forecast

After a wave of snow moved across Metro Detroit Tuesday morning, another round is expected to move through the region after 8 p.m.

It’s expected to change to wet snow, freezing rain, and rain for parts of Southeast Michigan overnight through Wednesday morning.

The rain/snow line is highly sensitive, which makes forecasting snow totals across the Metro area tricky. It will be blustery with gusts up to 30 mph and temperatures will fall into Wednesday morning, where a re-freeze will be a concern.
