Ex-Michigan football HC Sherrone Moore posts $25K bond, ordered to wear GPS tether in home invasion case

Former Michigan Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore was ordered to post a $25,000 bond and wear a GPS tether following charges related to an alleged home invasion.

The Washtenaw County prosecutor charged Moore with three offenses: a felony count of home invasion and misdemeanor counts of stalking and breaking and entering.

Moore is no longer in custody, according to jail officials.

The past few days have been tumultuous for the Ann Arbor community. Moore was fired and arrested after an investigation into an alleged assault and inappropriate relationship with a staff member.

Police arrest suspect after hours of negotiation, Facebook livestream in Warren home

A suspect has been taken into custody after an hours-long standoff with police in Warren on Friday.

The suspect was live-streaming on Facebook in the lead-up to the surrender.

Just after 5 a.m. on Dec. 12, 2025, Warren police received a call from a person who knew the suspect, claiming the suspect was inside a home in the 7000 block of Westminster Avenue and had killed a person.

The caller said the suspect told them on a FaceTime call, where the caller saw a man lying on the ground covered in blood.

Lawsuit accuses Michigan State Police leadership of retaliation and contract violations

A Michigan State Police employee has sued the agency and its director, alleging she was coerced into accepting a demotion after a confrontation with a senior officer and that the agency failed to honor her employment contract.

In a complaint filed Dec. 8 in Wayne County Circuit Court, Heather Luebs says Col. James F. Grady II and Michigan State Police pressured her to accept a lower‑level analyst position or face a fabricated internal affairs investigation.

Luebs alleges the threat followed a June 9 confrontation with Lt. Col. Aimee Brimacombe after Luebs sent a text warning a colleague about Brimacombe’s presence in a meeting.

Oakland County man accused of killing mother after argument over his life choices

A Holly man is facing charges in connection with killing his mother after she allegedly scolded him “for his life choices,” police said.

At 1:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, Holly officers responded to a home on Ash Street in the Village of Holly after they received a report of a woman, identified as 59-year-old Kristine Lynn Hall, in her bed, unresponsive.

Weather: Snow showers and falling temperatures expected Saturday before sub-zero wind chills move into Metro Detroit

Our cold front moved through the region overnight last night into early this morning, which is keeping the snow showers in the forecast through part of the morning hours on Saturday.

We’ve had our daytime high into the upper 20s early on Saturday morning, and temperatures will fall throughout the entire day, dropping into the teens by the time we get to the late afternoon and early evening hours on Saturday.
