Video: Porch pirate makes off with taxidermied bear in ‘grizzly’ Michigan theft Bear with me
GANGES TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Michigan State Police are looking for whoever stole a taxidermied black bear from the porch of a home on Michigan’s west side.
The theft happened in Ganges Township, roughly 20 miles south of Holland. The six-foot-tall bear was wearing a ring, a necklace, a fake sheriff’s badge and a holster with a fake gun.
Police describe the suspect as someone of an unknown gender who was wearing black clothing and glasses.
A security camera at the home captured the thief walking up to the porch and dragging the bear off into the dark.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Michigan State Police at 269-792-2213.
