3 dead, 2 injured in house fire on Detroit’s west side

DETROIT – Three people are dead, and two were injured in a house fire on Detroit’s west side Monday morning.

The fire happened at a home in the area of 7 Mile and Woodward just after 6 a.m. on Dec. 15.

According to fire officials, two people died inside the home, and three others were taken to a local hospital for their injuries. A third person died while they were being transported to the hospital.

One person is in critical condition, and the other is expected to be okay.
