Tenants at Clinton Township apartment claim to go without hot water for days

Resident says she has not had hot water for 12 days

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Several tenants living inside a Clinton Township apartment say they’ve been without hot water for nearly two weeks. The apartment complex says the issue was fixed last week.

Tatiana Chavez lives at the Country Squire Apartments near the intersection of Harper Ave and Glenwood Street. She claims she went without hot water for twelve days.

Chavez says the issue is requiring her to transport her two children from place to place in order to make sure they can shower. She says she often wakes up and boils water to provide any hot water for her family.

Chavez says she and her fellow tenants are considering moving.

“People that have kids and families, we really do need help, like we don’t want to have to move throughout the holidays,” Chavez said Sunday.

The apartment’s property management tells Local 4 they worked to solve the issue last week and believed it was fixed. They are working to address anyone who is still without hot water and encourage any concerned tenants to reach out to them directly.
