Eastpointe man charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping 12-year-old girl

Man had abandoned his residence and fled from Michigan, and was later found in New York

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – Andrew Logan Williams, 52, of Eastpointe, was arraigned in circuit court to face trial for first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl.

Williams was arraigned on Tuesday (Dec. 16) at the Macomb County Circuit Court.

A pretrial conference is set for Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at 9 a.m.

Williams was bound over to circuit court following his preliminary exam at the 38th District Court in Eastpointe on Nov. 26, 2025.

After the exam, a judge found there was enough evidence to bind Williams over on the following charges:

  • Two counts of criminal sexual conduct, first degree (person under 13, defendant 17 years or older), a life or any term of years felony, and
  • Kidnapping, a life or any term of years felony.

The judge dismissed a charge of child sexually abusive activity, a 20-year-felony.

Allegedly, on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, Williams took the 12-year-old girl who was walking near his home into his house and sexually assaulted her.

It was reported that the 12-year-old girl ran from the residence and contacted a neighbor for help, who contacted the Eastpointe Police Department.

Upon investigation, it was determined that Williams had abandoned his residence and fled from Michigan, and was later found in New York.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges and initiated the extradition process.

With the assistance of U.S. Marshals, Williams was returned to Michigan to face charges.

Williams is being held at the Macomb County Jail without bond.
