DETROIT – A fun day for some kids who got a chance to meet Detroit Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown and enjoy some pizza.
Little Caesars brought in the Detroit Lions’ wide receiver to compete in a series of timed pizza-making events.
One of them put St. Brown up against Dean Cole, a student at Detroit Achievement Academy and Detroit Prep.
The seventh grader worked through some jitters to secure victory and then handled the media like a pro:
“I was nervous, because his pizza looked pretty good as well, but my pizza was also really good. So I had mixed feelings,” said Cole.
When asked about what he had learned on Tuesday (Dec. 16), Cole said, “What I learned was to have perseverance with everything that you do. Just try your best, with like, do everything with the best of your ability.”
St. Brown also competed against Little Caesars CEO Dave Scrivano and was awarded the win on a technicality.
The All-Pro receiver said the toughest part was getting the right number of pepperoni on the pizza and spacing them out correctly.
