Warren man charged with attempted murder after shooting, 120+ mph police chase

Suspect facing 10 felony charges after violent confrontation

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A 25-year-old man from Warren has been charged with 10 felonies after reportedly shooting a woman and leading police on a high-speed chase.

It started just after 1 a.m. Dec. 14 in an Eastpointe home on Ash Avenue, near Raven Avenue.

According to authorities, Antoine Paige Jr. had fired multiple shots at his cousin and her boyfriend, hitting his cousin in the shoulder. When police approached Paige outside, he reportedly sped off in his car.

He was pursued by police from Eastpointe, Warren, St. Clair Shores, and the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, reportedly exceeding 120 mph on I-94.

The chase ended when Paige crashed on North River Road. Police said they found him hiding under a dock in a nearby canal.

On Tuesday, Dec. 16, Paige was charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, carrying a concealed weapon, third-degree fleeing and eluding, assaulting or obstructing a police officer and three counts of felony firearm.

Paige was charged as a habitual offender, and his bond was set at $1 million. His next court date is Dec. 30.
