Wisconsin man accused of sexually assaulting Michigan girl, given $1M bond

SAGINAW, Mich. – A 30-year-old man from Wisconsin is facing several felonies after reportedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old Michigan girl.

According to authorities, Carl Boeder (who used to live in Saginaw) established a sexual relationship with the girl over the summer and would use his cell phone to inappropriately communicate with the victim.

On Tuesday, Dec. 16, Boeder was arraigned in Saginaw on multiple charges, including third-degree criminal sexual conduct, child sexually abusive activity, possession and distribution of child sexually abusive material, two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

Boeder was given a $1 million bond. He is scheduled to return to court Dec. 23.
