There is a chance of strong thunderstorms between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. this evening, capable of localized wind gusts over 50 MPH.
Temperatures will continue to rise after sunset in the wake of the warm front, with daily highs in the mid to possibly upper 50s.
There will be a sharp decline Monday morning leading to travel trouble.
There is the chance for a flash freeze on untreated surfaces late tonight as temperatures drop from the 40s and 50s at midnight to the upper 20s Monday morning.
Due to the threat of slick conditions, damaging winds and potential snow squalls, a 4Warn Weather Alert has been issued for Monday.
A High Wind Watch has been issued starting at 1AM to 10PM Monday. Gusts will range from 45 to 55 MPH with a chance that gusts could exceed 60 MPH.
As the warm southerly winds shift to colder, northwesterly wind, the temperatures will tumble and precipitation will likely change to snow before daybreak.
If snow showers become intense, paired with the whipping winds, snow squalls (whiteout conditions) remain possible Monday, especially from mid-morning through midday.
