A Westland woman won a $100,000 prize playing the Michigan Lottery’s Super Raffle game after purchasing tickets because she liked the odds.
Patricia Doe, 60, won when her Super Raffle number, 065230, was selected as a $100,000 winner in the Nov. 19 drawing. She bought the winning ticket at Admiral Petroleum #5896, 542 N. Wayne Road, in Westland.

“My husband and I liked the odds of the Super Raffle game, so we bought two tickets,” Doe said. “We forgot we had the tickets, so it wasn’t until recently that we checked our raffle numbers on MichiganLottery.com.
“The first raffle number came back as a $100 winner, and the second raffle number came back as a $100,000 winner,” she said. “We took the ticket to the store to double check it, but it wasn’t until we went to a Lottery office to have them check it that we believed we really won. It was exhilarating.”
Doe recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim her prize. She said she plans to complete some home renovations and save the remainder of her winnings.
