Cold end to the year in Metro Detroit with more snow chances this week

Blustery with single-digit wind chills to round out the week

Bundle up! It’s going to be a cold end to 2025. Not as gusty as yesterday, but still blustery both today and tomorrow. Flurries are blanketing the area early today with more widespread, accumulating snow chances later this evening and again on Wednesday. Most areas likely see an inch or two with each system. Highs will be in the upper 20s both days but with gusts remaining above 20 mph, it will feel as low as the single digits with wind chills.

Snow showers should taper off well before the ball drops tomorrow night. This looks promising for better road conditions by late evening if you are heading out for New Year’s Eve celebrations. Seasonably cold conditions will continue through the start of the new year with daytime wind chills in the teens and single digits. Highs will likely not rise above freezing until Monday.
