GARDEN CITY, Mich. – A Livonia man has been charged in a New Year’s Day shooting in Garden City that left a father and son in critical condition.
According to authorities, police were called to Rockstarz Bar at about 4 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 1, on reports of a shooting in the parking lot.
First responders found two victims who had been shot and transported them to hospitals, where they remain in critical condition.
Police believe a fight broke out between 29-year-old Brian Lindsay and the victims, leading Lindsay to shoot the 55-year-old father in the head and the 22-year-old in the chest.
Police said Lindsay contacted police and turned themselves in. They surrendered to authorities at the Garden City Police Department later that day.
Lindsay was charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, two counts of assault and six counts of felony firearm.
He remains at the Wayne County Jail on a $1 million bond. A probable cause hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 12.
