The worker appeared to yell, “pedophile protector,” to Trump, to which he appeared to respond with “f--- you,” and then gave the person the middle finger.

The White House defended Trump’s action, telling TMZ that the person was “wildly screaming expletives in a complete fit of rage,” and saying Trump “gave an appropriate and unambiguous response.”

Trump was in Detroit on Tuesday, giving a speech defending his economic policies at the Detroit Economic Club.

Ford releases statement

In response, Ford Motor Company issued the following statement:

“We had a great event today, and we’re proud of how our employees represented Ford. We’ve seen the clip you’re referring to.

One of our core values is respect, and we don’t condone anyone saying anything inappropriate like that within our facilities.

When that happens, we have a process to deal with it, but we don’t get into specific personnel matters.”
