OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – Emergency 911 calls in Oakland County were restored Thursday after a brief outage, according to the sheriff’s office.
In a press release sent on Jan. 15, at around 11:20 a.m., the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center is working to restore service to its 911 operations as calls and text messages were down.

At around 11:29 a.m., the sheriff’s office said 911 call services have been restored, but the text message service remains unavailable.
