SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – A 28-year-old Canton man died Friday after being pinned beneath his snow plow while performing maintenance in a Southfield parking lot, police said.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at a parking lot near Twelve Mile and Evergreen roads, where the driver was servicing his vehicle when a piece of equipment fell on top of him.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but were unable to save the man due to the severity of his injuries.
The accident happened just days after a major snowstorm moved through Metro Detroit.
Southfield Police Department officials said they do not suspect foul play in the incident and are extending their heartfelt condolences to the family.
The incident remains under investigation.
