When officers arrived, they found a woman upstairs who had been shot multiple times.

Emergency crews tried to save her, but she did not survive.

A preliminary investigation indicates a domestic argument between a man and the victim escalated -- leading him to shoot her.

The suspect called 911 and was taken into custody at the scene.

Police say there is no threat to the public.

An investigation is ongoing, and the Clinton Township Police Department is asking anyone with information to call (586) 493-7802.
