The lucky player purchased his winning ticket at One Stop Liquor Shoppe at 15125 East 9 Mile Road in Eastpointe.

“I have been playing Lucky For Life a lot lately,” Holfelder told Michigan Lottery officials. “I scanned my ticket on the Michigan Lottery app after the drawing and was so excited to see I’d finally won a big lottery prize. The words I would use to describe winning are terrific, satisfying, and about time!”

Holfelder decided to claim his prize as a one-time lump sum of about $390,000, according to lottery officials.

He plans to buy a home and share his prize money with his family.
