Officials said residents living near the Flint area might hear or see fighter jets in close proximity to a Civil Air Patrol aircraft acting as a Track of Interest.

A Track of Interest is an aircraft that has been identified as a potential threat.

“The purpose of the exercise is to evaluate response and coordination procedures,” officials said in a press release Monday morning.

Exercise flights could be relocated, delayed or rescheduled pending weather.
