OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – The man accused of shooting and injuring his coworker at a Troy Corewell Hospital parking garage pleaded no contest to his charges.

The shooting happened just after 7 a.m. on March 20, 2025, in the parking garage of Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital. The shooting was called in as an active shooter situation, and a warning was sent to staff telling them to “run, hide, fight.” The hospital went into lockdown.

Robert Paljusevic, 21, allegedly fired five shots at his coworker, striking him twice in the arm.

The victim, identified as a 25-year-old Troy man, was treated for his injuries at the hospital. Paljusevic was arrested at a home in Macomb County shortly after the shooting happened.

Paljusevic was charged with assault with intent to murder, felony firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.

On Feb. 10, 2026, Paljusevic pleaded no contest to his charges. He is expected to be sentenced on March 17 at 8:30 a.m.
