Woman pleads no contest after allegedly stabbing teen at Wayne County mall

TROY, Mich. – A 42-year-old woman has pleaded no contest to assault after reportedly stabbing a teenager multiple times at a Taylor mall.

According to authorities, Tiffany Williams stabbed a 19-year-old woman several times during an argument at a shoe store located at Southland Center in November.

Williams and the victim allegedly got into an argument inside a shoe store, the prosecutor’s office said. The argument escalated, and Williams pulled out a knife.

The teen was hospitalized for treatment and has survived the attack.

Williams was arrested as she was leaving the mall and initially charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault with intent to do great bodily harm.

On Tuesday, Feb. 17, Williams pleaded no contest to assault with intent to do great bodily harm and the other two charges were dropped as part of her plea agreement.

Williams is expected to be sentenced April 7.
