LINCOLN PARK, Mich. – A police pursuit ended in an arrest after a domestic assault and a report of child kidnapping in Lincoln Park.
The incident occurred on Tuesday (Feb. 17) at 7:10 p.m. on Dix Highway.

The Detroit Regional Communication Center said they received a report of a domestic assault and kidnapping involving a 12-year-old boy and his 18-year-old brother.
The caller, the mother who was also in the vehicle, described the suspect’s car as a burgundy Jeep Grand Cherokee with front and rear damage.
Shortly after the call, the Detroit Police Department said it attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, which was traveling at about 25 mph, but it failed to stop.
Troopers from Metro South said they spotted the vehicle near Dix Avenue and performed a precision immobilization maneuver, ending the pursuit.
Police said the 18-year-old suspect was arrested and handed over to Detroit police.
Officials said the victims were rescued safely, and no one was injured during the incident.
