Macomb County man bound over for trial in death of Oakland County woman Shelby Township man charged with murder after 911 call ends abruptly

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 29-year-old Shelby Township man has been bound over on second-degree murder and tampering with evidence charges in the death of a Madison Heights woman.
According to authorities, police responded to a Shelby Township apartment in July 2025 after a 911 caller hung up on dispatchers .
Police said Terrance Lamar Bowie II let them in, where they found the body of Brittany Harris-Beauchamp. Officers noted the body appeared to have been moved within the room.
Bowie was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and tampering with evidence .
On Tuesday, Feb. 17 , a judge ruled there was enough evidence to bind Bowie over for trial on all counts.
He remains in custody at the Macomb County Jail on a $2 million bond.
If convicted, Bowie could spend the rest of his life in jail.
