Suspect in custody after shooting at Oakland County apartment complex, police say Shooting happened at Thornberry Apartments in West Bloomfield

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. – A suspect is in custody after a shooting at an Oakland County apartment complex, police said.
Police responded to the Thornberry Apartments in the area of Maple and Farmington roads in West Bloomfield early on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, after receiving a report of a shooting.
A suspect was taken into custody.
Police said two people were shot. A man was shot at a nearby liquor store, and a woman was shot at the apartment complex. They both sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
Police have not released any other details at this time. Local 4 crews are at the scene, working to get additional information.
