HILLSDALE COUNTY, Mich. – A 60-year-old man will spend decades in a Michigan jail for a sexual assault after being extradited from Florida.
Vincent Allen Payne was sentenced Monday, March 2, to 19-30 years’ incarceration for first-degree criminal sexual conduct. A jury found him guilty in January .
Payne reportedly sexually assaulted a relative under the age of 15 from 2004 to 2008 while he was living in the same home in Hillsdale County.
He was charged in 2010 and left the state. In May 2025, extradited from Florida to Hillsdale County by U.S. Marshals to face charges .
