Florida man accused of sexually assaulting minor in 2007 extradited to Michigan

A 60-year-old man from Florida is facing charges in Michigan for an alleged sexual assault from 2007.

Vincent Allen Payne was extradited to Hillsdale County by U.S. Marshals and arraigned Wednesday, May 21, on one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. His bond was set at $300,000.

Payne is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old relative in 2007 while he was living in the same home in Hillsdale.

His probable cause conference is scheduled for May 28.

Payne remains lodged at the Hillsdale County Jail.
