Man charged with careless discharge after woman killed in Wayne County shooting Bond set at $100,000

SUMPTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A man is facing careless discharge of a firearm charges in the death of a 20-year-old woman in Sumpter Township.
It happened on March 18 at a home on Edgewood Drive . Police said they found the woman in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest. She died at the scene.
Jordan Dejuan Winn was taken into custody and has been charged with careless discharge of a firearm causing injury or death. His bond was set at $100,000.
Police believe Winn and the victim knew each other.
Winn’s next court date is scheduled for March 31.
