MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A Macomb County woman charged after her 3-year-old son shot himself in the hand with an unsecured gun learned her sentence on Wednesday.
Daniellys Villegas-Moreno, 24, of Warren, was charged after prosecutors said her son shot himself in the hand with a gun that didn’t have a gun lock and wasn’t secured on Jan. 20.

The boy sustained a non-life-threatening injury.
On April 29, Villegas-Moreno pleaded no contest to a charge of reckless use of firearms.
She was sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 93 days of credit for time served.
