“No Mow May” has been popular over the last few years; letting your grass grow a little longer in May to help bees and other pollinators early in the season.

Now more Michigan cities are moving away from the idea.

City leaders are discussing new methods: less mowing, planting native flowers and making long term changes that experts say help pollinators more.

David Lowenstein a Michigan State University entomologist and Horticulture expert joined Local 4 Live to help us understand how we can really care for our pollinators.
