Two of the charged have been involved in a fraud scheme of more than $100,000 in merchandise from regional home improvement stores over the past year.

The detail occurred at multiple locations the city.

Participating retail stores included CVS, Home Depot, Kohls, Kroger, Lowes, Meijer, Sams Club, Target, Ulta, Walgreens, and Walmart.

The Canton Police department has established partnerships with many of frequently targeted retail stores in the community.

“Our department’s efforts shift the focus from individual shoplifters to dismantling the broader criminal networks that drive systemic theft and violence.” said Joseph Bialy, Interim Police Chief.

Canton will continue to conduct these random details throughout the year.
