Stretch of I-96 west closing this weekend — timeline, location, list of ramp closures

A stretch of westbound I-96 is closing this weekend in Metro Detroit.

The express and local lanes will have closures from I-94 to M-39/Southfield Freeway for the Hubbell bridge deck demolition.

All on and off ramps will be closed.

This begins at 7 p.m. Friday, June 5, and continues through 5 a.m. Monday, June 8:

• WB I-96, I-94 to M-39/Southfield Fwy will be closed and all on/off ramps.
• Detour - WB I-94 to NB M-39/Southfield to WB I-96

The following ramps will also be closed:

• MLK Blvd ramp to WB I-96
• Warren Ave ramp to WB I-96
• EB/WB I-94 ramps to WB I-96
• W Grand Blvd ramp to WB I-96
• Livernois Ave ramp to WB I-96
• M-5 (Grand River Ave) ramps to WB I-96
• WB M-8 (Davison) to WB I-96
• Wyoming Ave ramp to WB I-96
