DETROIT – Police are working to learn the circumstances surrounding a shooting that happened on I-94 on Tuesday.
Michigan State Police said troopers responded to reports of a shooting on westbound I-94 near Dickerson Street in Detroit just before 1 a.m. on June 9. There, they found two people with gunshot wounds.

The two people were taken to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
Westbound I-94 was closed as troopers investigated the scene, but the freeway has since reopened to traffic.
Anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has information related to the investigation is asked to contact the Michigan State Police.
