4Warn Weather – The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch on Wednesday, placing 17 counties in southeast Michigan under the advisory until midnight EDT.
The watch includes Bay, Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Midland, Monroe, Oakland, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St. Clair, Tuscola, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties.

The affected region includes major cities, their suburbs, and communities, including Ann Arbor, Flint, Pontiac, Warren, Livonia, Dearborn, Sterling Heights, Troy, Southfield, and Royal Oak, among others.
Other cities under the watch include Bay City, Port Huron, Saginaw, Monroe, Howell, Brighton, Midland, Owosso, Caro, Bad Axe, Lapeer, and Westland.
The National Weather Service said conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds, large hail, and frequent lightning.
The watch remains in effect until midnight as forecasters monitor storm development across the region.
