Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run near Chandler Park Tuesday night

DETROIT – A man in his 60s was killed in a hit-and-run while walking near Chandler Park in Detroit Tuesday night.

According to Detroit police, the incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the area of Frankfort Street and Dickerson Avenue.

Police say the driver didn’t stop after hitting the man, who died from his injuries. No vehicle description was provided.

An investigation is ongoing and Detroit police is asking anyone with information about the hit-and-run to reach out to DPD’s homicide unit at 313-596-2260 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP.
