ROYAL OAK, Mich. – For nearly three decades, the murder of 6-year-old JonBenét Ramsey has remained one of America’s most infamous unsolved cases.
But for her family, it wasn’t just a headline.
In the aftermath of JonBenét’s death, John and Patsy Ramsey found themselves under intense scrutiny, facing a media firestorm while grieving the loss of their daughter.
John says that’s part of why he’s participating in Crime Unfiltered in Royal Oak this weekend.
He wants to share his family’s story in his own words and give people a chance to hear from those who lived through some of the nation’s most high-profile criminal cases.
The event will also feature Tara Petito and Nichole Schmidt, the mother and stepmother of Gabby Petito, as well as others whose lives have been forever changed.
The event is happening at the Royal Oak Music Theater on Friday, June 19, at 7 p.m.
