DETROIT – Passengers were taken to a hospital for evaluation after a crash involving a Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) bus and a vehicle on Woodward Avenue.
The crash occurred on Wednesday (June 24) afternoon at 5:14 p.m. as both the vehicle and the DDOT bus were traveling northbound on Woodward Avenue and East Elizabeth Street.
According to officials, the vehicle attempted to make a right turn onto Elizabeth Street from the middle northbound lane and was struck by the bus.
Police said no occupants of the vehicle were injured in the crash.
However, four DDOT bus passengers reported injuries and were transported to a hospital for evaluation.
Officials said no pedestrians were struck in the collision.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
