Upon arrival at the home, animal control officers found an unknown number of cats and after a brief investigation with assistance by the Redford Township Fire Department, determined that the condition of the home made it unsafe for both the animals and resident.
The resident was transported to a local hospital and animal control is working with local fire officials to get the home cleaned up, the police department said.
