OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – Four people are dead after a severe crash on southbound I-75 in northern Oakland County Wednesday night.
The crash occurred just after 9 p.m. near Grange Hall Road. Sources tell Local 4 the victims have been identified as a 23-year-old woman and 24-year-old man, and two children.
The victims’ vehicle was reportedly disabled on the side of the road when their Chrysler 300 was struck by a truck. The truck driver was also injured and taken into custody at the hospital.
Michigan State Police said Thursday morning that charges against the driver are pending.
Emergency crews were on the scene for several hours while police investigated the crash, with all southbound lanes closed.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation by Michigan State Police.
